Indian Air Force Notified Recruitment for Group ‘C’ Civilian Posts 2014

Indian Air Force invited applications for recruitment of various Group ‘C’ civilian posts. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format within 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement.
The Indian Air Force was officially established on 8 October 1932 as an auxiliary air force of the British Empire. It is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. Its primary responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during a conflict.

Age limit
  • Candidate’s age should be between 18 to 27 years for LDC and Fireman.
  • Candidate’s age should be between 18 to 25 years for other posts.
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualification
  • MTS: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Safaiwala: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Cook:  10th Class with 6 months experience in the trade.
  • Mess Staff: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Dhobi: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Draughtsman Grade-III: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board/University and 2 years Diploma in Mechanical Drawing or Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Draughtsman ship from an industrial training institute.
  • LDC: 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University and A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
  • Instrument Repairer: industrial training institute certificate in the appropriate/akin field or trade viz. Instrument Repair.
  • Painter: industrial training institute certificate in the appropriate/akin field or trade viz. Painter.
  • Carpenter: industrial training institute certificate in the appropriate/akin field or trade viz. Carpenter.
  • Store Keeper: Degree of a recognized university or equivalent.
  • Assistant Store Keeper: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Ayah/Ward Sahayika: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Fireman: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
  • Telephone Operator Grade-II: 10th Class or equivalent with English as a compulsory subject and proficiency in handling of Private Brand Exchange (PBX) Board.
  • Tailor: industrial training institute certificate in the appropriate/akin field or trade viz. Tailor.
  • Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade): 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board and must have a valid driving licence.
  • Labourer Amn Duty: 10th Class or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Pay Scale:
  • Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1800 for MTS, Safaiwala, Mess Staff, Dhobi, Ayah/Ward Sahayika and Labourer Amn Duty.
  • Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900 for Cook, LDC, Instrument Repairer, Painter, Carpenter, Assistant Store Keeper, Fireman, Telephone Operator Grade-II and Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade).
  • Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400 for Draughtsman Grade-III and Store Keeper.
Selection Process
Selection will be done on the basis of performance in written examination and interview.
